Clubs keen on Forde
Forde has been in fine form this season
Barry Town's David Forde could be the latest Jenner Park player to be offered a shot at professional football in England.
The Irish keeper has been attracting the scouts to Jenner Park this season, and the club confirmed on Wednesday that they have received a firm offer from a First Division side. But Forde, who joined at the start of the season from Galway United, has also caught the eye of talent spotters from the top flight. A Premiership club has made enquiries and the current League of Wales champions are awaiting further developments. Barry refused to name the hovering clubs, but the 22-year-old has already spent time training with West Ham. Previous Barry keeper Mark Ovendale is now plying his trade at Luton Town, while right-back Terry Evans was signed by Swansea City earlier this season.
