Carling Cup quarter-final draw

Burnley players celebrate their win over Chelsea on penalties
Burnley dumped Chelsea out of the Carling Cup, beating them on penalties

Giant-killers Burnley have been drawn at home to Arsenal in the Carling Cup quarter-finals.

The Championship side progressed by beating Premier League leaders Chelsea 5-4 on penalties, but face a tough test against Arsene Wenger's young side.

Holders Tottenham travel to Watford, while Manchester United host Blackburn in the only all-Premier League tie.

The final game pits Stoke City against Derby County, with the games set to be played in week beginning 1 December.

Arsenal emphatically beat Wigan 3-0 to make it into the last eight, with Wenger fielding a team almost entirely made of teenagers.

The Gunners boss has used the competition to blood young stars like 16-year-old midfielder Jack Wilshere and striker Jay Simpson, 19, and the trip to Turf Moor will provide another test for his fledgling side.

Paul Ince will take his Blackburn team to Old Trafford after a 2-1 win at Sunderland in the fourth round, while Man Utd required a late Carlos Tevez penalty to dispose of Championship side QPR.

Tottenham, who beat Chelsea in last season's final, extended their unbeaten run under new manager Harry Redknapp to six games with a 4-2 win over Liverpool on Wednesday night.

They travel to Vicarage Road to play a Watford side who are without a manager after Aidy Boothroyd's departure earlier this month, but caretaker boss Malky Mackay guided them to a 1-0 win at Swansea City in the last 16.

Midlands rivals Stoke City and Derby County set up their tie by disposing of Leeds United and Rotherham respectively in the last round.
