Last season's beaten finalists Chelsea entertain Burnley, Manchester United host QPR and Wigan visit Arsenal in one of three all-Premier League ties.
Sunderland boss Roy Keane pits his wits against former Manchester United team-mate Paul Ince - boss of Blackburn Rovers - in the third top-flight match.
The ties will be played in the week commencing 10 November.
Derby County host Leeds in the fourth round after beating Manchester City's conquerors Brighton.
Rotherham's reward for their 3-1 win over Southampton is an away game against Stoke, while both Swansea and Watford will fancy their chances of progressing into the quarter-finals after being paired together in the only all-Championship tie.
