Middlesbrough swept aside League One club Yeovil to power into the third round of the Carling Cup.

Mido held off Lee Peltier before firing past Josh Wagenaar to open the scoring.

Didier Digard scored from a 30-yard shot and Jeremie Aliadiere turned on the edge of the box before firing home for a third goal for the Teessiders.

Gavin Tomlin nudged a goal back for the visitors before Marvin Emnes headed in Justin Hoyte's cross and Adam Johnson curled in a fabulous fifth for Boro.
