Swindon 2-3 QPR

League Cup

QPR left-back Damien Delaney proved to be their matchwinner as they came from behind to win away at Swindon.

Angelo Balanta stabbed the ball in when Swindon failed to clear, but the Robins levelled when Anthony McNamee crossed for Simon Cox to fire home.

Billy Paynter gave Swindon a shock lead three minutes before the break when he headed home McNamee's cross, but Dexter Blackstock headed in to equalise.

Delaney lashed in from 12 yards and QPR withheld late pressure to earn victory.

QPR manager Iain Dowie told BBC London 94.9:

"I felt it was a delight to watch, I think it was fitting that we got the equaliser in the manner that it was, a good football goal from front to back.

"I think that galvanised belief and from then on we looked like we were going to get more."
