Derby 3-1 Lincoln City (aet)

Nathan Ellington scored a dramatic hat-trick as Derby beat Lincoln.

Ben Wright headed Lincoln ahead and Derby were slipping to defeat before Ellington beat Robert Burch from close range after 83 minutes.

Ellington smashed the ball into the roof of the net and then scored a volley as the Rams won in extra-time.

The striker had earlier missed a one-on-one and saw a header saved by Burch, who also made excellent saves from Steve Davies and Kris Commons.

Lincoln City manager Peter Jackson told BBC Radio Lincolnshire:

"I couldn't ask any more from my players than what they gave tonight, they were playing against a very good side and we more than matched them.

"Right until the last kick of the game they gave everything, and as a manager all you can ask is they they play their hearts out and they did. They can be proud to wear the shirts tonight."
