Rochdale win 4-2 on penalties
Gary Jones scored the winning spot-kick to help Rochdale beat Stoke 4-2 on penalties in the Carling Cup after both teams shared four goals in 120 minutes.
Ryan Shawcross gave Stoke a fourth minute lead and they looked good for the win before David Perkins equalised late in the game.
Rory Prendergast's volley in extra-time gave Dale the advantage.
Richard Cresswell pounced to send the tie to penalties that saw Stoke miss two before Jones fired in the winner.
