A two-goal burst in the final five minutes of the first-half helped Plymouth to a win over Wycombe.
The home side went ahead when Reuben Reid drilled a shot across the face of goal which the sliding Martin Bullock could only angle into his own net.
Sylvan Ebanks-Blake then rattled the crossbar with a thumping volley for Plymouth before a Lee Hodges header extended Argyle's advantage.
Scott Oakes halved the lead late on but it proved a consolation strike.
