Watford win 6-5 on penalties
Premiership Watford scraped into the Carling Cup third round after beating League Two Accrington 6-5 on penalties.
Hornets boss Adrian Boothroyd made 11 changes to the team which which drew against Villa on Saturday.
Accrington had the ball in the net as Ian Craney's corner deceived Watford keeper Richard Lee, but the effort was ruled out for a push on Lee.
But neither side could break the deadlock - leaving Anthony McNamee to net the winning spot-kick for Watford.
