Nott'm Forest 2-4 Fulham (aet)
Andy Reid (left) tries to get away from Fulham's Mark Pembridge
Forest midfielder Reid (left) was a constant threat to Fulham
Fulham came back from a goal down to keep their Carling Cup dreams alive at the expense of a brave Nottingham Forest side.

Forest took the lead through Marlon King's 12-yard effort only for the visitors to equalise through Tomasz Radzinski's left-foot shot.

Radzinski added his second with a curled strike in extra time and Brian McBride put Fulham 3-1 up.

Andy Reid got one back for Forest but Andy Cole's goal ensured a Fulham win.

Forest showed little sign of the league troubles during a promising start as Reid tried an impudent 40-yard chip which keeper Mark Crossley easily gathered.

And, while Fulham took time to get into their stride, the home side almost took advantage on several occasions.

Reid was the orchestrator as Forest threatened and he saw a shot saved by Crossley who also had to act sharply to tip over a King effort.

Another Reid strike from 25-yards out went just high with the only other worthwhile moment of goalmouth action coming just before half-time.

King put a cross into the Fulham area and as Kris Commons came to meet the ball to slot it in the in-form Crossley intercepted and gathered.

John Thompson headed over for the City Ground side after the interval while Pembridge forced keeper Paul Gerrard into a smart save from a Fulham free-kick.

Forest are struggling at the bottom end of the Championship but they took the lead after 71 minutes with Reid inevitably involved.

His cross was converted by King and, just as it looked like Fulham offered little threat, the visitors equalised through Radzinski.

Radzinski added a second after 93 minutes and when McBride turned and managed to squeeze in a shot for the visitors' third it seemed they were taking control.

But Reid made sure Fulham were given a nervous finish when he pulled on back to make it 3-2.

Gareth Taylor had a glorious chance to level matters for Forest but he headed wide to the relief of the Cottagers, who ensured their progress when Cole dinked in late on.
