Chelsea will travel to Newcastle in the Carling Cup fourth round, after the draw was made on Wednesday.
Holders Middlesbrough are also on the road against a fellow Premiership side, as they travel to Liverpool.
All four of the non-Premiership teams left in the competition were drawn at home in last 16, with Aston Villa's conquerors Burnley meeting Tottenham.
Nottingham Forest will entertain Fulham, Watford host Southampton and Cardiff play at home to Portsmouth.
