Ballymena United clinch a 3-2 Premiership win away to Donegal Celtic

Richard Gibson's second half header clinched a Carling Premiership win for Ballymena at Suffolk Road.

United dominated the first half and Nathan Hanley's half-volley put them ahead before Gibson hit the woodwork.

Darren McNamee headed in a surprise equaliser and Ciaran Gargan volleyed home from 20 yards after 61 minutes to put DC in front.

Eamon Murray curled in an equaliser before Gibson won it with a 76th minute header which just crossed the line.

The win takes the Sky Blues above Lisburn Distillery and into fifth while Donegal Celtic are now three points adrift at the bottom.

The west Belfast club was dealt and blow before the game with the news that Thomas Lambe will be out for the rest of the season after suffering a cruciate ligament injury.
