Blues forwards in fitness battle

Paul Munster is hoping to be fit to face Dungannon

Linfield will assess the fitness of strikers Mark McAllister and Paul Munster before Saturday's league game against Dungannon at Stangmore Park.

Munster has been struggling with an injury and McAllister with illness.

Curtis Allen remains suspended for the Blues, who are three points clear at the top of the table.

Swifts, who lie fourth in the Premiership standings, will be without first-choice goalkeeper Alvin Rouse who begins a two-match suspension.

Second-placed Crusaders will be without skipper Colin Coates and David Magowan through suspension for their home game against Institute.

Glentoran hope to close the gap on their title rivals as they face Glenavon, who are minus banned pair Jay Magee and Ryan Harpur, at the Oval.

Newry City hope to have received clearance in time to field former Drogheda United and Shamrock Rovers player Danny O'Connor in their trip to Coleraine.

Emmet Friars and Stephen Garrett both sit out the game through suspension for John McDonnell's side.

Portadown will hope to build on their win over Linfield by beating Cliftonville, as both sides push for a place in the top six.

Lisburn Distillery manager Tommy Wright faces his former club Ballymena United at the Showgrounds.

Midfielder Gavin Melaugh, another United old boy, will not be available for selection for the Whites as he is suspended.
