Stephen Kenny's Derry side are just one point behind Bohemians
Derry City are without six players for Friday night's League of Ireland Premier Division game against Dundalk at Oriel Park (1945 BST).
"We are on a bit of a roll at the moment, playing well and scoring goals," said City boss Stephen Kenny.
"We must rally around when situations like this occur and although we are down in numbers I believe this is a game we are capable of winning.
"We have learnt a lot from the defeat by Dundalk earlier in the season."
"They are a good side with some very good players.
"They've won their last two games against Bray and Cork City and that must be respected.
"They are in good form themselves and that will make for a good encounter, we are on a nice run of victories and of course we would want that to continue," the Candystripes manager told the BBC Sport website.
