McBride ponders Glenavon future

Glenavon manager Stephen McBride
Stephen McBride is unhappy with Glenavon's recent form

Stephen McBride says he is thinking about resigning as boss of Glenavon after accusing most of his players of not trying hard enough.

Glenavon lost 3-1 at home to Institute on Saturday and are just one point ahead of bottom club Dungannon.

"Institute manager John Gregg talked about his honest players - that's where is all lies," McBride told Sunday Life.

"He probably has 15 of them while I have about five. I do not think half the dressing room was with us."

McBride said he would take a couple of days to decide on whether to stay on head coach at the Lurgan club.

"I will not dive into it but I am prepared to say I am thinking about it.

"I am putting in every ounce of effort but, while we have pulled off some good results, I do not think half the dressing room is with us."
