Aaron Stewart is set to come into the Ballymena defence

Ballymena captain Gary Haveron will miss Wednesday night's CIS Cup third round first leg game against Glentoran with Aaron Stewart likely to step in.

The United defender is suspended after picking up five yellow cards.

Thomas Burke is back in the squad but doubts remain over hamstring injury victim Davitt Walsh and Neil Teggart who is nursing a shoulder complaint.

The sides have already met three times this season, with the Glens winning 6-1 and 4-1 and then drawing 1-1.

Glentoran won 6-1 in a County Antrim Shield tie at the Oval and then 4-1 in the JJB Premiership at the same venue.

Roy Walker's side reversed the trend with a recent 1-1 league draw at the Showgrounds.
