Glen Crowe tries to hold off Derry defender Mark McChrystal
A Mark Farren goal in the 76th minute gave Derry City victory over the newly-crowned Eircom League champions Bohemians at Dalymount Park on Friday.
Farren ran on to a long ball and outpaced the Bohs defence before sliding his shot under the body of goalkeeper Brian Murphy.
The goal came seven minutes after Bohemians had Anto Murphy sent-off.
Murphy, already booked for dissent, got a second yellow as the ref judged he had dived in an bid to get a penalty.
In a quiet first half, Derry keeper Gerard Doherty saved well from Jason Byrne while City's Niall McGinn saw a good effort palmed over the bar by Murphy.
