McDonald and Dickson claim awards

Alan McDonald's side are in the Setanta Cup semi-finals

Alan McDonald has been named as the Northern Ireland Football Writers' Harp Manager of the Month for September.

His Glentoran side was unbeaten in the Premiership during the month and also enjoyed emphatic wins in the County Antrim Shield and the Setanta Cup.

Crusaders' recent run of good form was recognised as their striker Mark Dickson was named player of the month.

The former Larne and Linfield forward has been instrumental in his side's rise to the Premiership summit.
