Glentoran's Shield date changed

Glentoran striker Gary Hamilton
Gary Hamilton has to serve a one-match suspension

Glentoran have moved their County Antrim Shield match against Amateur League side Newington YC to Thursday, 14 August, kick-off 1945 BST.

The switch will allow Glens striker Gary Hamilton to use up the one-match suspension he received at the end of last season for five cautions.

He will therefore be available for the opening Premiership match against Glenavon at the Oval on 16 August.

The other Shield matches go ahead on Tuesday, 19 August as planned.

Glentoran won the Shield last season, beating Crusaders 2-1 in the final.
