Gerard McMahon was in goalscoring form

Gerard McMahon scored twice as Glenavon trounced Armagh City 5-0.

McMahon fired a low finish into the bottom corner on 27 minutes, then Trevor Molloy flicked over and McMahon had a chance to add to his tally.

The striker grabbed his second with a crisp shot from a Paul Carville cross a minute before the interval.

Conor Walsh scored with a sweet shot from Carville's pass on 49 minutes, Mark Gracey's own goal on 74 made it 4-0 and Molloy netted after 80 minutes.

Armagh's best chance fell to Peter McNeill but his effort was saved by Tuda Murphy.
