New Rangers manager Paul Le Guen got his reign off to a winning start as his side beat Irish League champions Linfield 2-0 in a friendly in Belfast.
Thomas Buffel picked up a ball from Fernando Ricksen and fired past goalkeeper Alan Mannus from 16 yards out after 13 minutes.
On 24 minutes Kris Boyd took advantage of a bad backpass by Jim Ervin and rolled the ball past Mannus for 2-0.
Ricksen then went close and Tim Mouncey headed over for Linfield late on.
