Pat McGibbon has struggled with injuries since joining Glentoran

Glentoran defender Pat McGibbon has retired from top-flight football.
The 34-year-old former Northern Ireland player has been plagued by a series of injuries since arriving at the Oval from Portadown two years ago.
The injuries and the emergence of teenage centre-half Philip Simspon have restricted McGibbon's appearances.
McGibbon, who enjoyed spells with Manchester United and Wigan Atheltic, wants to concentrate on his physiotherapist business in Portadown.
He departs the east Belfast club by mutual consent and with 12 months to run on his contract.
Manchester United paid a £100,000 transfer fee to take McGibbon from the Ports to Old Trafford in 1992.
The defender won seven caps as a Northern Ireland international.
