Former Northern Ireland skipper Steve Lomas has been linked with a possible move to Scottish Premier League side Hearts or Championship side Preston.
The midfielder has one year left of his contract with West Ham but Hammers manager Alan Pardew no longer regards Lomas as part of his plans.
The Coleraine man's career has been ravaged by injury in recent seasons, including a serious ankle injury.
Lomas, 31, joined West Ham from Manchester City for £1.6m in 1997.
