Coleraine 2-2 Portadown (result) Coleraine's Pat McAllister fires wide in the sixth minute after a Stephen Beatty cross. Marc McCann has the best chance of the first half in the 15th minute but his lob hits the woodwork. The match remains scoreless at the interval. The game is delayed for 20 minutes early in the second half because of floodlight failure. When the match does resume, Gary Hamilton hammers Portadown into the lead with a 64th minute goal after Peter McCann controls an Alan Taggart cross. Peter McCann adds a second goal four minutes later after his initial shot comes back off the woodwork. Sean Armstrong pulls a goal back for Coleraine in the 76th minute from the penalty after there is a further delay because of floodlight problems. Ciaran Ferry heads an equaliser for Coleraine in the 84th minute after a Barry Curran cross. The matches finishes 2-2.

Derry City 0-0 Shelbourne (result) Mark Farren has a chance in the 24th minute but Shelbourne defender Dave Rodgers gets in a crucial tackle. On 27 minutes, lively Shelbourne striker Jason Byrne has a shot saved by Derry goalkeeper David Ford. A minute before half-time, Derry's Clive Delaney heads just wide. The game is scoreless at half-time. Derry's Gary Beckett hits the woodwork 10 minutes into the second half. Jason Byrne has a 75th minute chance for Shels but Peter Hutton clears off the line.
