Derry moved to within three points of Cork City at the top of the Eircom Premier League table with a 3-1 win over the leaders at the Brandywell.
Gary Beckett headed in the opener on six minutes but George O'Callaghan equalised with a penalty on 59 after Sean Hargan was penalised for handball.
Stephen O'Flynn restored Derry's advantage on 74 minutes before Barry Molloy secured the win after 79.
Molloy's goal was a spectacular 25-yard shot which looped over the goalkeeper.
On 21 minutes Mark Farren's shot appeared to be handled in the area by Alan Bennett but no spot-kick was awarded.
Meanwhile at the other end John O'Flynn was twice denied by fine saves from David Forde in the first half.
