Glentoran's Pat McGibbon will be out of action for a month

Defender Pat McGibbon will miss most of Glentoran's CIS League Cup campaign following a knee operation.
The former Manchester United player was due to have surgery on Monday in an attempt to cure the recurring problem.
Glens manager Roy Coyle hopes to have McGibbon back for the start of the league campaign on 17 September.
"This should sort the problem out, once and for all. I should be back training in the next three to four weeks," McGibbon told Glentoran's website.
"It had been agreed that I had to get the problem sorted out in the close season. Unfortunately it was not possible to schedule the procedure in July. I would have liked it done sooner than this."
