Sammy Morrow had a header go wide for Northern Ireland
An own goal by former Crusaders defender Conall Murtagh condemned the Northern Ireland Under-19 side to defeat against Russia in the Milk Cup.

Northern Ireland had looked to be in control of th Elite League opener at Seaview in Belfast until that cruel blow early in the second half.

Murtagh got a slight touch to glance a backheader over keeper Lee Windrum.

Northern Ireland fought back in search of an equaliser, with Sammy Morrow of Hibs seeing a header go wide.

Dean Shiels had a low show saved by Russian keeper Stanislav Kozyrev.

Northern Ireland's next game is against Brazil at the Coleraine Showgrounds on Monday.
