FA training centre in doubt
Sven-Goran Eriksson
Eriksson would use the centre if it is built
The Football Association has postponed a decision on the National Football Centre at Burton until 2005.

The FA has to decide whether to write off the 16m that has already been spent on the centre at Burton-on-Trent.

"It was decided to defer any decision on the future of the National Football Centre until the spring of 2005," the FA said in a statement.

The centre, which was moth-balled last year due to the FA's financial problems, would cost 80m to complete.
