England U21 2-0 Czech Rep U21

Fraizer Campbell celebrates

A vibrant England side cruised to a comfortable win over the Czech Republic in a lively friendly at Bramall Lane.

Tottenham striker Fraizer Campbell opened the scoring with a cute chip from a tight angle after Peterborough keeper Joe Lewis' long punt.

James Vaughan missed a sitter before Aston Villa's Craig Gardner netted a low free-kick inside the right post.

The only negatives for England were Jamie O'Hara's missed penalty and Lewis being taken off with an ankle injury.

England boss Stuart Pearce:

"It took us 60-70 minutes before we got our tails up. There's a lot of pleasing things there - it's never easy to win international matches.

"It gives me something else to think about with these younger boys doing well."

England's Fraizer Campbell on his third goal in two games:

"When you score one they come along a lot easier. The team played well and I got my chance and scored."
