Iwelumo misses the unmissable
Scotland 0-0 Norway
With the 2010 World Cup qualifier locked at 0-0, substitute Chris Iwelumo, making his debut for his country, missed a golden chance against Norway.
Gary Naysmith curled in a tremendous low cross from the left and Iwelumo was on hand to finish the move. He only had to knock the ball into an empty net from a few yards out.
Hampden erupted for a few seconds as the Tartan Army celebrated the big striker's goal.
Then the horrible truth was realised: somehow Iwelumo had sclaffed his shot wide.
The match ended in a stalemate. Snubbed striker Kris Boyd said after the match that he no longer wished to be selected for future Scotland squads while George Burley was in charge.
