Lampard's performance with Gerrard

With Gerrard making a less significant impact when paired with Lampard you would expect the Chelsea midfielder to fill more of an attacking role but that is not the case.

Although Lampard passed less to the full-backs against Estonia than when on his own against Croatia, he also reduced the number of times he found England's strikers. He also received the ball in deeper positions than when he played in Zagreb and received less of the ball in the final third of the pitch.

Startlingly, playing with Gerrard he only played one pass from the final third as opposed to 10 passes against Croatia.
