Webb is considered as one of the Premier League's top referees
|
Premier League referee Howard Webb has been selected to officiate at Euro 2008 in Austria and Switzerland next summer.
The Rotherham official has been chosen by Uefa as one of 12 referees for the finals and will be assisted by Darren Cann and Mike Mullarkey.
With England not present, Webb may have a chance of refereeing the final if he performs well in his early games.
Craig Thomson, of Scotland, has been chosen as one of the eight fourth officials for the tournament.
