It was a great win over Argentina but I don't think too many people in the England camp will be getting carried away with it.
Because England won I'm sure there will be a lot of euphoria but the players in the squad wouldn't have been carried away if England had lost.
They would still have had the belief that we can go to the World Cup in Germany next year and win it - along with five or six other countries.
I don't think there would have been too many psychological points scored whatever the result, but the main thing is that winning is a good habit.
England have played a very good team, but England can be a good side, as they have shown, and it will give them confidence.
It did not surprise me to see Michael Owen score twice. I have always said that if you give Michael chances, he will score goals.
His record is phenomenal. He's a top drawer striker and he and Wayne Rooney make a very dangerous partnership.
People will wonder whether the formation with Ledley King in the holding role was a success.
Ledley was outstanding against Poland, but you can't turn in man of the match performances every game and I don't think he was as prominent against Argentina.
I was impressed with Joe Cole when he came on.
Playing King in the holding role and the other three midfield players quite narrow means there is a lot of responsibility on the full-backs to get forward and supply the width.
I don't think you could have expected Wayne Bridge to do that in his first game back. He hasn't played a Premiership match for nine months, let alone an international.
But it was a great game and a great atmosphere. Unlike some international friendlies, the players from both teams were up for it and so was the crowd.
Both sides were technically very good and I was just pleased to be there to witness it.
