Trinidad & Tobago 1-1 Bahrain
Tobago's Carlos Edwards (l) fights for the ball with Bahrain's Salman Isa
Bahrain will start as favourites to qualify for the World Cup
Trinidad & Tobago were indebted to Port Vale midfielder Chris Birchall for salvaging a 1-1 draw from their first leg against Bahrain in Port of Spain.

Bahrain looked set to take a slender advantage for Wednesday's return leg in Manama after substitute Husein Salman put them ahead in the 72nd minute.

But Birchall, the country's first white player in 60 years, hit back with a long-range strike five minutes later.

Stafford-born Birchall qualifies for Trinidad as his mother was born there.
