Wigan left-back Leighton Baines is the only newcomer in the England Under-21 squad for the European Championship qualifiers next month.
Baines has been in fine form for Wigan this season
Carlton Cole, John Stead, David Bentley and Darren Bent have also been named.
Chelsea right-back Glen Johnson has been recalled, with Newcastle's James Milner also included.
The 3 September match in Austria and the 7 September game with Poland will mark Peter Taylor's first competitive matches since he returned as coach.
