Veteran French left-back Bixente Lizarazu has announced his retirement from international football.
Lizarazu, 34, made the decision after France endured a disappointing Euro 2004, going out in the quarter-finals to eventual winners Greece.
The 97-times capped defender said: "I need more time for my private life and especially for my son."
He was a part of the France side that won the 1998 World Cup on home soil and the 2000 European Championship.
