1543: Juventus midfielder Christian Poulsen will join Liverpool soon, according his agent Jorn Bonnesen who told Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet: "It won't take more than a week before this is sorted out."

1501: Real Madrid star Kaka risked his career by playing for Brazil at the World Cup when he was carrying injuries, according to his doctor. The player underwent an operation in Belgium yesterday to repair a knee injury and a routine medical check he needs arthroscopic surgery. He was immediately flown to to Antwerp for the procedure.
