Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko could join Sampdoria on-loan for next season if the Italian side can agree on the Ukrainian's wages. (Sky Sports, 1508 BST)

Real Madrid striker Robinho has said he does want to be used in a deal to bring Cristiano Ronaldo to the Bernabeu and has said he his happy in Spain, ruling out a move to the Premier League. (telegraph.co.uk, 1345 BST)

Frank Lampard will sign a pre-contract agreement with Inter Milan on 1 January in a deal worth 160,000-a-week. (News of the World)

But the Italian side have not given up hope of securing Lampard's signature before the start of the new season and have offered Brazilian striker Adriano in a part exchange deal worth 15m. (The Observer)

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is prepared to lose 16m to keep Lampard at Stamford Bridge next season. The Blues will lose out on a 10m transfer fee and will pay his 6.1m-a-year wages. (News of the World)

Manchester City have still not given up hope of signing Barcelona's Brazilian forward Ronaldinho on a 200,000-a-week deal. (News of the World)

Manchester United have struck a 24m deal with Tottenham for striker Dimitar Berbatov but the transfer is on hold until the north London club can find a replacement. (News of the World)
