How to get involved in football

Ever dreamt of running out for Wales at the Millennium Stadium?

Well, there are plenty of people out there ready and waiting to help you reach the top.

So it could come true - one day!

The Football Association of Wales Trust has been set up specially to help develop the game in Wales.

So the people there should be your first port of call if you want more information about getting involved in the beautiful game.

The Trust has development officers all over the country, so they will be able to put you in touch with your nearest one.

Most counties also have development centres which provide quality coaching for young players.

And remember girls - don't be shy! Women's football is the world's fastest growing sport and there are loads of opportunities for you if you live in Wales.

The FAW Trust have also teamed up with fast food chain McDonald's to set up a new scheme aimed at getting more primary schools involved in football.

Schools who take part in the scheme receive free equipment, information packs and regular newsletters.

You'll also be able to enter your team in special festivals, and get your hands on some international match tickets.
