Manchester United will face Man City in FA Cup semis

City and United will renew their rivalry at Wembley in the FA Cup

Manchester City set up an intriguing clash against local rivals Manchester United in the semi-finals of the FA Cup at Wembley.

City, who beat Reading 1-0 in Sunday's quarter-final, are looking to secure their first silverware since their League Cup win in 1976.

Bolton have been paired with Stoke in the last four, following wins over Birmingham and West Ham, respectively.

Wembley Stadium will host both semi-finals on 16 and 17 April.

While under the stewardship of manager Roberto Mancini, Manchester City have been beaten by rivals United on four occasions.

In February, a Wayne Rooney strike settled the league encounter between the two sides.

"Revenge is the wrong word," said the Italian boss.

"Every year in football you can meet your opponent, two times minimum, maybe three or four.

"It is a great semi-final and you could see what it meant to the fans at the end.

"We are very close with all the top squads but we need to improve more and maybe next year we will be at the same level.

"But it is important that we played a good game at Old Trafford last time and we have a chance to win, like them."

Meanwhile, Stoke manager Tony Pulis said he will treat Bolton with "total respect" after having avoided both Manchester sides in the draw.

"I think it is being disrespectful to Bolton to say it is the draw we wanted, we just wanted to win against West Ham," said the Potters boss.

"We will treat them with total respect. If you look at Bolton and their history, they have been a Premier League side a lot longer than us and have established Premier League players.

"We will respect them and we know it will be a tough game for us."
