Dartford 3-2 Leiston

FA Cup

Dartford reached the first round proper of the FA Cup for the first time in 21 years with victory over Leiston in the fourth qualifying round replay.

Danny Harris gave the hosts an early advantage, with Carl Rook doubling the lead midway through the first half.

Leiston hit back immediately through Stuart Broadley but Tom Bonner sealed it for Dartford before Leon Ottley-Gooch's late consolation strike.

Dartford will host League Two side Port Vale in the first round.

Dartford manager Tony Burman told BBC Radio Kent:
"I'm proud of the achievement, and I hope we lift the roof off.

"It has been a roller coaster, but I have been disappointed in the last couple of weeks with some things that have been said."

"I've got a few things wrong. So? I've put things right. It's a different league and we do get beaten, we don't win 6-0 or 7-0 every week."

"The groans come from the crowd and sometimes it affects the players. They don't know how much damage they are doing."
