Leon Mckenzie helped guide Coventry into the next round of the Cup
Second-half goals from Leon McKenzie and Leon Best gave Coventry a hard-fought but deserved victory over Blue Square Premier side Kidderminster.
Harriers goalkeeper Adam Bartlett saved well from McKenzie and Best to keep the game goalless at half-time.
Russell Penn's long-range shot went close for Kidderminster just after the break before McKenzie's left-foot shot put Coventry in front.
Best scored a late breakaway goal to put the result beyond doubt.
Kidderminster manager Mark Yates told BBC Hereford and Worcester:
"I'm proud of the players although one or two of them are a little bit disappointed that we haven't quite played and expressed ourselves as much as we would have liked.
"But it's a difficult place to come and they are a decent side with some very good players.
"They can be proud of their achievements, but we must now concentrate on the league and the FA Trophy."
