Alfreton face a trip to League One side Scunthorpe

By Heather Hinchley

Alfreton Town fans may have FA Cup fever but boss Nicky Law says it will be business as usual for the historic FA Cup second round tie at Scunthorpe.

There will be no added luxuries for the Derbyshire Blue Square North side - who will travel by car to Glanford Park on Saturday as they have in previous ties.

Law told BBC East Midlands Today: "No doubt we'll have the usual phone calls saying they're stuck in traffic.

"Nothing will be any different to how it is normally."

They might look at it as an easy game and that's where we can come through and take a surprise victory

The Reds boss added: "Scunthorpe are in a no-win situation because if they beat us, well, they should have done and if they don't well, what's happened there?"

And the fixture will have a familiar feel for the Derbyshire side as five players have have played for the Iron or come from the Scunthorpe area.

Centre-half Paul Ellender, who still lives in the Lincolnshire town, said: "We should be confident as we've won the last three games and scored a lot of goals.

"It's going to be tough - they're doing well in the league but it's going to be a good game."

Reds goalkeeper Tom Evans, who played for Scunthorpe from 1997 to 2006, said: "We're going to be absolutely buzzing.

"They might look at it as an easy game and that's where we can come through and take a surprise victory.

"If we have a chance of getting a Premier League club it would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity but we're not worrying about that - we'll wait until we win on Saturday."
