Luton 0-0 Altrincham

Non-league Altrincham earned an FA Cup first-round replay with struggling League Two side Luton after a battling goalless draw at Kenilworth Road.

The hosts went close early on when Wayne Andrews blazed over, but thereafter it was all Altrincham.

Home keeper Conrad Logan saved from Chris Senior and Colin Little after both got themselves free in the box.

And it could have been even better for the visitors had Senior's strike on the hour not been ruled out for offside.

Luton manager Mick Harford told BBC Three Counties Radio:

"We controlled the game from start to finish basically, and they had a few break-aways, which is going to happen in the FA Cup.

"I disappointed with the result, but there are lots of positives to take from it.

"Altrincham came and got the whole of the team behind the ball the majority of the time.

"I asked the players to give me two things today - keep a clean sheet and stay in the hat and we did that."
