Chesterfield 3-1 Mansfield

Jamie Winter's brace helped Chesterfield to earn victory against Mansfield in the FA Cup first round.

Winter opened the scoring when his free-kick bounced off the hands of keeper Paddy Gamble into the corner

Jamie Ward doubled the lead from Lloyd Kerry's cross before Winter's long-range shot gave Chesterfield a first home win in the FA Cup for 11 years.

Nathan Arnold got a late consolation goal for the visitors with a 25-yard effort into the bottom-right corner.

Mansfield Town boss Billy McEwan told BBC Radio Nottingham:

"We more than matched them at times in the football field today. I thought some of the football, at times, was excellent.

"We got one goal and we could possibly have had four or five goals today. We had that many situations to score but we didn't.

"That's our problem at the minute, we can't kill teams off. The signs are encouraging, but we've lost the game."
