Bournemouth 1-0 Bristol Rovers

Bournemouth knocked League One side Bristol Rovers out of the FA Cup in a match that saw both teams reduced to 10 men and five others booked.

Rovers' Byron Antony was dismissed after he was shown two yellow cards a minute apart, just before half-time.

Defender Jason Pearce scored the winner in the 75th minute, heading home Warren Cummings' cross following a corner.

Cherries striker Lee Bradbury then saw red after collecting his second caution, but they held on for the win.

Bournemouth boss Jimmy Quinn told BBC Radio Solent:

"I thought it was a great game. Bristol Rovers are a very good side so I'm delighted to get through.

"Every one of our lads performed very well, if it hadn't been for their keeper, we could have scored more.

"I told my strikers today that they could be a hero if they put the ball in the net, but I thought we had 11 heroes out there today."
