Non-League Oxford go into the hat for the FA Cup third round draw after holding League One side Southend.
Oxford's Matthew Green had the best chance, but the on-loan forward fired wide from point-blank range.
Southend could have taken an early lead but Oxford keeper Billy Turley saved from Kevin Maher when clean through.
Maher's turn and shot with 10 minutes left brought another good save out of Turley but the Blue Square Premier side held on for a valuable replay.
