Walker's penalty decided this FA Cup third-round tie
|
Richard Walker's first-half penalty settled a tense FA Cup third-round tie against Hereford.
Hereford keeper Wayne Brown mistimed his challenge on Craig Disley to concede the penalty in the 22nd minute, and Walker made no mistake.
Brown atoned for his earlier mistake with a string of fine saves to deny Rickie Lambert and Walker.
Rob Purdie spurned Hereford's best chance of the game in stoppage time when he fired wide from 15 yards.
