Macclesfield stunned Walsall to reach the FA Cup second round with their first victory in 20 attempts.
Walsall had not conceded in nine matches but Macclesfield deserved their win which came seven minutes from time.
Jimmy McNulty was on hand to drive the ball over the line after Matty McNeil had headed against the crossbar.
Hector Sam headed Walsall's best chance wide and Dean Keates saw a last-minute effort saved by Jonathan Brain as Macclesfield held on for a famous win.
The Silkmen - under recently-appointed manager Paul Ince - will now play Hartlepool at home in the second round.
