Chester 0-1 Cheltenham

Kayode Odejayi struck early in the second half to give Cheltenham a money-spinning FA Cup fourth-round clash at home to Premiership Newcastle.

Odejayi met Stephen Guinan's pass to score with a shot from 12 yards.

Cheltenham deserved their win against a lacklustre Chester and Odejayi could have added a second late on, only to be denied by goalkeeper Stephane Gillet.

Luxembourg keeper Gillet kept Chester's hopes alive with another save from Odejayi as Cheltenham clinched the win.

Chester started well, with Ben Davies a lively figure, and Robins goalkeeper Shane Higgs did well to save Michael Branch's cross-cum-shot.

But Cheltenham were always dangerous on the break and Brian Wilson flashed a shot wide, before leading scorer Odejayi headed over the crossbar when unmarked six yards out.

Branch had City's best opportunity of an equaliser after a mistake by JJ Melligan, but he fired wide.
